Dr. Robert Eke
Dr. Robert Eke is a distinguished Senior Lecturer and the Acting Head of the Department of Accounting at the College of Social and Management Sciences, Wellspring University, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. A Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in both the government and banking sectors, Dr. Eke transitioned to academia where he has made significant contributions to the field of accounting and finance. Dr. Eke holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting, graduating with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of Lagos, Lagos State. He further advanced his education with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Finance from the University of Benin, Edo State. Before joining Wellspring University, Dr. Eke accrued valuable experience in government parastatals and the banking industry. This diverse background has enriched his teaching and research, providing students with practical insights into both corporate and public sector financial management. An active researcher, Dr. Eke has contributed to numerous studies, the findings of which have been published in esteemed local and international journals. His research interests include corporate finance, public sector financial management, and the financial management techniques of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. Dr. Eke’s work aims to enhance the financial management practices of SMEs, thereby contributing to their sustainability and growth. Dr. Eke has actively participated in both local and international conferences, where he has presented papers and shared his research findings with the global academic community.
