The department’s extensive mandate covers a wide array of specialized services:
Computer Services and Hardware Management:
The ICT Department is responsible for the procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of all university computer hardware, ensuring that students and staff have access to reliable and up-to-date technology. This includes troubleshooting and repairs.
Portal Services:
The team administers and maintains the university’s Student and Staff Portals, which are vital platforms for registration, result checking, fee payment, communication, and other essential administrative processes.
LMS/ODL Online Services & Training:
They manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and support Open and Distance Learning (ODL) initiatives. This involves maintaining the online learning platforms, providing technical support to users, and conducting training for faculty and students on utilizing the digital learning environment effectively.
Web Design and Administration:
The department designs, develops, and administers the official Wellspring University Website, ensuring it is informative, secure, accessible, and reflects the institution’s brand.
Network and Internet Administration:
This critical function involves the management and maintenance of the entire university network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi services, wired networks, servers, and internet connectivity, guaranteeing high-speed and reliable access for all users.
CBT Management:
The ICT Department oversees the administration and technical support for Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations, providing a secure and reliable digital environment for student assessments.
Computer Lab Technical Support:
A dedicated technical support team ensures that all university Computer Laboratories are fully operational. They provide technical assistance to students and instructors using the labs for practical sessions and research.
