Our Core Mandate
The DAP is responsible for the planning, development, and monitoring of all academic activities. Our functions are categorized into four strategic pillars:
- NUC Accreditation: We manage the accreditation process for all undergraduate and postgraduate programs to ensure they meet the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) and the new Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS).
- Monitoring: We conduct regular classroom monitoring, lecture attendance analysis, and course content evaluation to ensure teaching effectiveness.
- External Moderation: We coordinate the external examiner system to validate the standard of our examinations and grading.
- Program Design: We work with faculties to design market-relevant courses (e.g., Software Engineering, International Relations) that bridge the gap between theory and industry demands.
- Review Cycles: We periodically review existing curricula to incorporate emerging trends in technology, ethics, and entrepreneurship.
