College of Science and Computing

About

The College of Science and Computing is one of the Colleges domiciled in Wellspring University. The College currently runs three departments, namely: Computer Science & Software Engineering; Information Technology & Cyber Security and Biological Sciences.

These programmes are continually updated to take cognizance of new innovations, development and international best practices in the disciplines. 

The College has so far graduated nine sets of students. Many of our graduates are establishing themselves and are making progress in their chosen careers. Many are pursuing their postgraduate studies in Nigerian Universities, while a good number of them are in Europe and North America. Already, some of them are showing interest in our existing postgraduate programmes (in Computer science) while the University is still making efforts to ensure that more programmes are floated at the postgraduate level.

 

 

Meet the Dean

Dr. OLANREWAJU, Babatunde Seyi is a Senior Lecturer and acting Dean, College of Science and Computing, Wellspring University Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. 

He holds a National Diploma and B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife respectively; in addition, he has a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Ibadan, Oyo State. He has written quite a number of journal articles which have been published both locally and internationally. He also attends both national and international conferences.

Dr. OLANREWAJU is a computer systems engineer, academic, and researcher with sound multidisciplinary industry and academic experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computing, Information Technology and Information Systems with research interests in Wireless Communication, Software Defined Networking (Cognitive Radios), Spectrum Management, Information Systems, and Network Security (Cyber Security).

He is a member of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and Internet Society
