The School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) was established in the 2018/2019 academic session following the approval granted by the National Universities Commission to run postgraduate diploma(PGD) and MSc degree programmes in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, International Relations, Mass Communication, Microbiology as well as Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The National Universities Commission has also granted approval for the School to commence other postgraduate programmes including the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Accounting and Business Administration and the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).

All the programmes are currently running and School graduated its first set of postgraduate diploma and MSc and MBA students at the University’s 3rd Convocation Ceremony held in September, 2022.

Meet the Dean

Professor Okpara Enyinna, Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies, Wellspring University welcomes you to the School of Postgraduate Studies.

 He was formerly the Dean, College of Social and Management Sciences, Wellspring University. He has also held office as Head of Department of Department of Accounting for two terms of three years each. Professor Okpara Enyinna who hails from Bende Local Government area of Abia State is a Professor of Accounting and Finance. Professor Okpara Enyinna is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He holds PhD, M.Sc, B.Sc and HND in Accounting. He is a trained teacher with Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Business Education. He is an auditor, financial reporting analyst, project and investment appraisal specialists as well as public sector Accountant. Professor Okpara has written over 30 published articles in reputable journals both locally and internationally. He has presented more than fifteen lecture papers in Dallas, Washington DC, Las Vegas in the United States of America, Italy, Spain, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and many others. He is an external examiner to some universities and also a resource person to National Board for technical education for accreditation of Accounting departments of Nigerian Polytechnic. He has been a member of Intergovernmental Relations Committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria for three consecutive years.
