Every undergraduate programme accepts entry through UTME (JAMB) or Direct Entry. Whichever route you take, you'll need the O'Level credits and subject combinations set out below. Find your programme below and review the requirements before you apply.

UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB for the year of admission.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and one other Social Science subject.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics and Economics, plus any two from:
    Social Science: Geography, Government Commercial: Accounts, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Insurance, Marketing, Office Practice, Financial Accounting, Store Management Science: Agricultural Science, Biology, Computer Studies, Data Processing (Economics also accepts Science subjects)
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Two Advanced Level passes (GCE/IJMB/JUPEB) in Accounting/Economics and a relevant subject Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognised University National Diploma (OND) from a recognised polytechnic or College of Technology
  • JAMB Direct Entry registration required.
UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Economics, and any two from Social Science or Commercial subjects.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics and Economics, plus any two from:
    Social Science: Geography, Government Commercial: Accounts, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Insurance, Marketing, Office Practice, Financial Accounting, Store Management Science: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Data Processing, Physics
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Two Advanced Level passes (GCE/IJMB/JUPEB) Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognised University National Diploma from a recognised polytechnic or College of Technology Intermediate Certificate of a relevant Professional Body
  • JAMB Direct Entry registration required.
  • Note: Inter-university transfers are also accepted, subject to departmental review of academic standing.
UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and Civic Education/Government/History or any Art or Social Science subject.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics and Economics, plus any two from:
    Social Science: Civic Education, Geography, Government, History Commercial: Accounts, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Insurance, Marketing, Office Practice, Financial Accounting, Store Management Science: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Data Processing, Physics
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Two Advanced Level passes (GCE/IJMB/JUPEB) Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognised University National Diploma from a recognised polytechnic National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognised College of Education
  • JAMB Direct Entry registration required.
UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Literature in English, and any two from Art or Social Science.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics and Literature in English, plus any two from:
    Art: Arabic, CRS, Civic Education, Fine Art, History, Igbo, Islamic Studies, Music, Yoruba Social Science: Geography, Government
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Professional Diploma in Mass Communication from a University approved by the Senate Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication from an approved polytechnic
  • JAMB Direct Entry registration required.
UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, plus one other science subject (Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Computer Studies or Further Mathematics).
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Two Advanced Level passes (GCE/IJMB/JUPEB), including Mathematics and one other science subject OND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline NCE in Mathematics and any other science subject
UTME Entry4-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Direct Entry3-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Two Advanced Level / JUPEB / IJMB passes in relevant science subjects (e.g. Biology and Chemistry) Relevant Diploma or National Diploma (ND) from a recognised institution
UTME Entry5-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Direct Entry4-Year Programme
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus: Two Advanced Level passes (GCE/IJMB/JUPEB) in Biology, Physics and/or Chemistry.
Transfer Students
  • A B.Sc. degree (in view) in a relevant science discipline such as Zoology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology or Biochemistry (as approved by Senate).
  • Diploma from a recognised University, or National Diploma / HND from a recognised polytechnic or College of Education in a relevant field.
  • JAMB Direct Entry registration required.
UTME Entry5-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB (not more than two sittings), including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Direct Entry
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Transfer students: Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Midwives licensed with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria are eligible, subject to satisfying the university's admission requirements.
UTME Entry6-Year Programme
  • Minimum UTME score as determined by JAMB.
  • UTME subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
  • O'Level: Five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO in a single sitting, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Direct Entry
  • Same O'Level requirements as UTME entry.
  • Plus one of the following:
    Outstanding, verifiable points in JUPEB / A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) A top-tier first degree (minimum of Second Class Upper Division) in a related Basic Medical Science discipline
