Prof. Okpara

Brief Profile

Enyinna Okpara is a Professor of Accounting and Finance and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He was born on 27th March 1960. He has the following academic qualifications: PhD (Accounting), M.Sc. (Accounting), MBA (Finance), B.Sc. (Accounting), PGD (Financial Management), HND (Accounting) and NCE (Business Education). Professor Okpara is currently the Dean of School of Posthgraduate Studies. He had previously worked as Accounts/Logistics Manager in Dangote Group. He is an experienced auditor and tax consultant having worked with Akintola Williams Delliotte. Professor Okpara served in the Nigerian Army as a commissioned officer rising to the rank of Captain before he voluntarily disengaged from active military service in 1999.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Below are the admission requirements of postgradute programmes. The requirements are presented in item 1, 2, and 3 which represents PGD, M.Sc., and MBA respectively.

Candidates must possess either a minimum of pass Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Senate of Wellspring University OR a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit.
For Master degree programmes, candidates must possess either a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of second class lower in the relevant field of study from a University recongnised by the Senate of the Wellspring University. However, holders of lower classification and a Postgraduate Diploma in related field of study from a recongnised University would be considered.
For the MBA prorammes, candidates must possess a first degree in relevant field of study from a University recongised by the Senate of Wellspring University with a minimum score average of not less than 60% or a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5-point scale.
