Dr. Oyegun Gbenga is a lecturer and current acting Head, Department of Economics, College of Social and Management Sciences, Wellspring University Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He is an Economic Analyst whose experience span through the academia, oil & gas and banking sector.
He graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Ondo State University then in Ado-Ekiti and has a Master degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Monetary Economics from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He has contributed book chapters to some Economic-based books, and has written quite a number of journal articles which have been published both locally and internationally. He also attends both national and international conferences.
Dr. Oyegun is an Econometrician, Petroleum and Energy Economist and aspires to develop Economic models which will be useful in the formulation of theories relevant to the development of the African economy in general and the Nigerian economy in particular.
He is a Member of the Nigerian Economic Society. He is married with children.
