The Department of International Relations, Public Administration and Security Studies is a foundational pillar of the College of Social and Management Sciences at Wellspring University. Initially, it offered programs in both International Relations & Diplomacy and Mass Communication until 2014, when Mass Communication became an independent department. Recently, it included two programmes to become the Department of International Relations, Public Administration and Security Studies.\nThe Department offers comprehensive four-year programmes leading to the award of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree either in International Relations & Diplomacy, Public Administration or Criminology and Security Studies. These programmes are meticulously designed to equip students with a deep understanding of the related theories and practices, preparing them to address complex socio-political issues at both national and international levels.\nStudents engage in rigorous coursework, research projects, and practical simulations to develop critical thinking and analytical skills necessary for effective problem-solving in the global arena.\nThe Department of International Relations and Diplomacy is fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), ensuring that our academic programs meet the highest standards of quality and rigour.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Professor Steve Amiemenkharu Iyayi is a distinguished academic and the Dean of the College of Social and Management Sciences (CSMS) at Wellspring University. His illustrious career began at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, where he served as Registrar for ten years (2001 to 2011). Following this administrative role, he transitioned to academia, teaching at Auchi Polytechnic and serving as a visiting lecturer at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, from July 2006 to September 2009.\nProfessor Iyayi is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is recognized as a Google Scholar and has an extensive publication record, with numerous articles published in both local and international journals. His research contributions span a variety of topics within public administration and international relations.\nIn addition to his academic and administrative roles, Professor Iyayi has actively participated in numerous conferences and workshops worldwide, presenting papers and contributing to the global discourse in his fields of expertise. He serves as a reviewer for the International Relations and Diplomacy Journal in the USA and has facilitated the supervision of Master's degree theses in Public Administration for the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).\nAs the Dean of the College of Social and Management Sciences at Wellspring University, Professor Iyayi plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic and administrative framework of the college.
