We are committed to excellence in both teaching and research.
The department offers a degree programme leading to the award of the Bachelor of Science (Entrepreneurship).
The field of entrepreneurship is one that relies heavily on the ability to change and exploit new markets and opportunities. Students that seek a degree in entrepreneurship are usually business-oriented and seek to develop their own business, rather than entering an existing business.
This degree programme focuses on preparing individuals to perform development, marketing and management functions associated with owning and operating a business. It combines management, marketing, finance and accounting with an emphasis on business ownership, either of a startup or an existing business.
Students would learn how to assess risks associated with business management, make responsible decisions and recognize business opportunities within and outside their own businesses.
